16 count Aida fabrics are sold in half-yard increments. While a yard of cut fabric is always 36 inches (and half yards are cut 18 inches), each bolt of fabric is a different length. Some fabrics might seem more expensive per yard, but that is because they are a longer fabric. To help you figure out the cost of each fabric, we have included the price per square inch so you can compare. When choosing an Aida fabric, look at not just the color but also the length. Determine what size you need for your project and choose the most economical cut for your budget. Colors listed are the color names given to the fabrics by their manufacturers. When appropriate, we have mentioned what we feel to be the correct color, to help you choose. Sorry, DMC and MCG Textiles are no longer offering their fabric by the yard. We currently have fabrics in various counts from Zweigart, Wichelt Imports, and Charles Craft. Zweigart is well known as the highest quality cross stitch fabric you can buy. Wichelt Imports also produces a high quality product. Charles Craft is an economy brand and may contain an occasional flub or flaw. Custom cut fabric is non-returnable.
